Choosing...., "The Right Massage For You

First things first.

A massage is going to help you to relax “Mind and Body". A massage session will put your mind and your body at rest to recover from the stress of a work-out, sport training, everyday home, and family or office life. Medically massages should help with head aches, soft tissue pain, muscle and joint pains, will improve sleep, and start recovery time from injury.

Massage therapy moves fresh blood and oxygen and pushes out the toxins, like lactic acid from the muscles and soft tissue while letting the body and muscle recover and perform at their pinnacle.
It's not just the Athlete.  Everyone can see improvement right away and receive health and wellness from massage therapy. No need to be shy, I have all types of clients, young and old, in-shape or out of shape. I always enjoy meeting new clients and helping them with meeting their goals.
As a first time client, take the time to check out all the different types of sessions. Massage and therapy sessions are very relaxing, even the Deep Tissue Massage therapy session and Sports Massage therapy sessions, can be very relaxing and therapeutic at the same time.
  •            A Swedish massage will be more of what most are familiar with a Day Spa.  It involves a light or soft touch massage.
  •           The Deep Tissue massage uses a firmer massage to help with sore tight muscles, soft tissue pain or scar tissue.
  •            My Sports Massage Therapy Sessions are my best massage sessions that I offer and it is the type of work my clients ask for the most. If you want and enjoy stretching with your massage the Sports Massage Therapy is the answer whither you are an athlete or not.
Anyone that has had my work can tell you how much, I can help with soft tissue pain, the stress of everyday life, work-outs, training, personal problems and body performance, improving you and your sport.
THE MASSAGE…
All of my massage and therapy sessions will start about the same. The first time client will need to feel out a client information form, letting me know more about the health and needs of the client. We'll do a quick review and go over any questions you may have. I'll show you the massage or treatment room and a place to put your things. I'll go over how to start your session, then I'll step out of the room to let you disrobe to your comfort level, you may choose be draped with a towel or sheet, so if you like you can be totally undress under the sheet or towel, letting me work more freely with easy and long full strokes to flush out toxins from the body. (If you choose to be naked or clothed under the towel or sheet is always up you). Also Note; For the Sport Massage you may want to wear briefs, a jock strap, or g-string but boxer briefs get in the way of the hip joint. With stretching it can be difficult to keep you covered as we proceed.          Once you are ready to start the massage or therapy, I'll knock and you will give me a verbal entrance and enter.  All the massage sessions are full body massage sessions; it's a total body therapy. I do not work on just one part of the body or one area like the lower back or just the legs unless specified.  I have seen many times when the clients back pain is do to the legs being too tight or clients head aches was do to neck and shoulder problems. During the massage I'll talk only if you like or if I need feed back on stretching, soreness and pressure of the massage.  Is use a table warmer in all massage and therapy sessions. The heated table on your back feels great as the session progress.   The heat also will relax and warm the muscle making them easy to work.  Once I have massaged, stretched and worked the full body, on booth sides and I am finished, I'll let you know, I will use a moist warm towel to remove any excess lotion from your body and then cover you with a warm dry towel. This will let you come back to balance and sense of well-being. I'll step out of the room to let you get dressed. You'll want to move slow and take your time getting off the table. You maybe light headed after the, it's only a few min., and then you'll feel the difference in mind, body and in time your Sport, "It's GREAT..!". (Something I tell my clients is that massage therapy is like waking up from a great sleep, relaxed, refreshed with no pain and ready to start the day or like re-setting your "Power Breaker ", letting Body, Mind and "SPORT", be the Best it Can Be!)

Things to Know before booking an appointment...
To book all appointments, I need to know your name, your first choice of date and time you would like your appointment, the type of massage treatment or therapeutic service you prefer or require. I'll need a phone where you may be reached at on the day of the massage, in case I should need to reach you before your appointment and confirm direction to the office, if needed. (Cell phones work best, if you have one)
You should try to give as much notice as you can when booking an appointment. For same day appointments, you may want to call rather than email as I do not always have time to check emails but check phone voice mail, between clients.

Pick a few dates and times that work best for, just in case I happen to be unavailable. Massage Therapy is all I do and I work everyday, even Sunday's and most holidays I can most likely get you in within a days notice or even same day. You and your body need to rest and recover after the massage or therapy session. Avoid weight training or strenuous exercise the day of your massage. If you need an appointment because of sore, tight or painful muscles from an injury or just sleeping wrong, you may want to call for same day appointments. Sometimes, I can get people in with an hour or two in most cases, depending on weather, other client and appointments.

For first time  and "same-day" clients I ask you to pre-pay your session with a PayPal payment. I've provided the neccesary link on my home page for your convience.  This eliminates the need for me to have possession of your credit card information insuring you the security and privacy.  For my cancellation policy please see the information below.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice
are charged the one hour minimum ($65)
Unfortunately, life sometimes gets in the way of keeping an appointment. If you have to cancel your appointment with me, and you wish not to be billed for the appointment, you must notify via telephone or email a minimum of 24 hours before the starting time of the appointment. If you are late for an appointment, I will try to accommodate you, schedule permitting. However, if the schedule does not allow for this type of accommodation, you will still be given the same time slot and your appointment will be shortened. For example, if you are 15 minutes late for an hour appointment, you will receive a 45 minute massage and you will be charged for the full hour
So, if you'd like to re-schedule a confirmed appointment? No problem, just let me know more than a full day in advance by calling 614-395-7630. That way I can rearrange my planned work and perhaps help someone else.
